Old Town of Albuquerque

Old Town of Albuquerque is located east of Rio Grande Boulevard, west of downtown. It was founded in 1706 and it has great sightseeing area and wonderful 18th century architecture. Small restaurants, specialty shops and traditional taverns characterize this part of Albuquerque.
Sen Felipe de Neri church is the oldest building in Albuquerque and it is located in the Old Town.
Old Town has few museums located close to the Old Town plaza – central square of Old Town of Albuquerque. Most of them are located within Mountain Road. Notable museums in Old Town of Albuquerque are: Albuquerque Museum of Art and History, Science Center and Children's Museum Explora, New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, American International Rattlesnake Museum and Turquoise Museum.
There are guided tours of Old Town arranged by a local tour operator from Albuquerque Museum.
