Belgrade - Shopping

Belgrade has many shopping malls where you can find clothes, shoes, accessories and many other items at prices ranging from very cheap to very expensive. One of the favorite places for shopping is Knez Mihajlova Street (pedestrian zone). Similar places are Terazije and King Milan Street, Požeška Street, Boulevard of King Alexander and Slavija Square. There you will find dozen of kilometers of various shops, boutiques, bars, caffes and other stores. Notable shopping malls in Belgrade are City Passage Shopping Mall, New Millennium Shopping Centre, Belgrade Fair, Ušće Shoping Mall, Delta City, Mercator and Merkur.
If you are looking for some souvenirs, you should visit Beogradski izlog or Singidunum in Knez Mihajlova Street or IPS Mamut in nearby Sremska Street.
Local markets are a part of ordinary life in Belgrade. Belgraders love to visit its markets. It is their habit and necessity. It is recommended to visit some of Belgrade’s markets where you can ’watch Belgrade life’ or buy some of traditional Serbian products like cheese, kajmak (like cheese, but much tasteful), honey, ajvar or rakija. Serbian honey is one of the most tasteful in the world. Ajvar is some kind of traditional Serbian pasta – don’t miss it! Rakija is famous Serbian alcoholic drink.
