Lloret de Mar, Spain

Lloret de Mar is leading summer destination on the Spanish „Wild Coast“. This charming town is located on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, in norteastern Catalonia. Pleasant climate, beautiful beaches, remarkable works of history and art, these are the main advantages that make this place favored tourist destination. Lloret de Mar has warm Maditerranean climate. Average air temperature is 20 degrees in May and October and it about 30 degrees in July and August. Water is warmest in July, when average sea temperature is 22 degrees. There are five beaches along a 7 km long coastline.The main beach and also the largest is Lloret de Mar Beach. Other four are Fenals Beach, Santa Cristina Beach, Sa Boadella Beach, Canyelles Beach. Beaches are wide, long, sandy or shingle with supporting services. They are awarded with blue flag for quality of the water, sand and services. All water sports are available, pedalos, windsurfing, sailing, diving etc.
Lloret de Mar is well connected with other Costa Brava’s popular destinations, such as, Tossa de Mar, Barcelona, Girona, Figueres.
Lloret de Mar offers great selection of hotels, apartments, pensions and villas. Accommodation facilities are adapted to the needs of the growing tourism. Accommodation can suits different needs and budgets.
But Lloret de Mar is also very famous for its nightlife and therefore very popular among younger population. It is exciting, loud and crowded at nights. Popular clubs are St. Trop and The Beach Party.
