Luxor - Hotels

Luxor offers wide range of accommodation options, from camping to 5 star luxury hotels. Most of accommodation options are located on the East bank of the Nile.
Luxor experiences great seasonal variation in hotel prices - some hotels can be up to 50% cheaper during the low season (summer). This is not a case in other holiday destinations in Egypt.
Beware of ’hotel touts’, primarily on the bus station. They will try to convince you to stay at their ’cousin’s’ hotel, but they get 20% to 40% commission for that and it will be added to your final bill. It is often recommended to book in advance your accommodation – via telephone or online.
Hotel prices range from €5 to a couple of hundred euros, depending on hotel’s amenities and location.
It is usual to be woken at dawn in your hotel by adhan – Muslim call to prayer. It normally lasts 5-10 minutes.
