Discover Mafia Island

Mafia Island is a true nature paradise of Tanzania. It is one of the undiscovered nature wonders of Africa, great place for relaxing and to enjoy away from busy streets and crowds.
Mafia Island has a limited number of hotels, there are no streets, shops or ATM’s. There is no busy nightlife, crowds – just nature.
Mafia Island is sometimes described as Zanzibar 30 years ago. All you will find there are white sandy beaches, gorgeous crystal clear waters full of colourful coral reefs and marine world, exotic birds and silence.
The best way of discovering Mafia Island is by walking and snorkelling or scuba diving. It is also recommended to visit one of the fishing villages (ie. Jibondo) where seaweed farming is important business.
Mafia Island can be reached only from Dar es Salam, by a flights that take about 30 minutes.
