City of Marrakech, Morocco

Marrakech or Marrakesh is an former imperial city in Morocco and one of the most beautiful old cities in the world. Marrakech means the Land of God. It is also known as the "Red City". It is located nearby the foothills of famous snow-capped Atlas Mountains.
Marrakech is divided into two main parts – old fortified city, known as Medina, and modern city – called Gueliz or Ville Nouvelle. It is home to the largest traditional market – souk in Morocco, and popular square – Djemaa el-Fna.
