Martinique is an beautiful island in the Caribbean Sea and one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Caribbean. Martinique is an part of France, but it has partly independance today. As a part of France, it is a part of the European Union. It is place where French and Caribbean culture, cuisine and history are mixed.
Southern parts of the island are full of wonderful beaches and great resorts, while northern part is home to the great rain forests and the unique black sand beaches.
Season in Martinique begins in November and lasts until June. Between June and October is rainy season with hurricanes every eight years. Season peak is between December and May.
