City of Paris

The French capital, Paris, is one of the most important cities in the world and leading tourist destination. Much of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will no doubt find something interesting to see along each street. Therefore, walking is the best way to explore the „City of Light“. Paris has so much to offer and these are the most popular attractions among visitors and something that should not be missed.
Eiffel Tower is number one attraction and icon of Paris. It is one of the most recognisable buildings in the world, named after its constructer, Gustave Eiffel. At night it is illuminated with 20000 flashbulbs, for ten minutes on the hour and looks just magnificent.
Place de la Concorde is the city’s largest square that extends from the Louvre to the Arc de Triumphe.
The Arc de Triomphe was erected in honor to the achievements of Napoleon's army in 1809. It is the city’s most recognisable monument after the Eiffel Tower.
Notre-Dame is beautiful gothic cathedrale, constructed between 1163 and 1334. It was the first centre of higher education before the University of Paris.
Sacre Coeur is impressive church situated on the highest point of the city. From this place extends spectacular view of the whole city.
Les Catacombes is entrance to the 3000 km long tunnel network under the city. It is resting place for 6 milion people.
Père-Lachaise and Panteon are the cemeteries for celebrity people.
Cineaqua is aquarium-cinema complex, an “ocean entertainment centre”.
Arenes de Lutence is Roman amphitheatre from 1st century. In the past, it serves as a place for entertainment and gladiators fights.
Louvre Museum is world’s most famous art museum and one of the oldest in Europe. It has significant and huge collection of art and it is it is not unusual to get lost in this museum.
