Hobart

Hobart is the capital of Tasmania. It is located nearby Mount Wellington, on the Derwent River.
At the waterfront area of Hobart are located Parliament House and housing galleries, craft shops and restaurants. This area is called Sullivans Cove and it was home of former warehouses of Salamanca Place. Nearby is one of the oldest theatres in Australia – Theatre Royal.
Hobart is famous for its fine restaurants. Some of the best are located within historic area of Salamanca Place. There is a festival called The Taste of Tasmania, where you can taste some of the best sea salts in the world.
It is recommended to visit Battery Point area, where about 50 historic buildings are located. Majority of these buildings are in use over 200 years.
Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens display a wide array of native and exotic plants.
At nearby Mount Wellington you can get some great views over Hobart and Derwent River.
