Trobriand Islands are not popular as they were before a couple of decades. One of the main reasons for this is the fact that main national airline no longer flying there.
The main attraction at Trobriand Islands is Trobriand Islands Dancing – very sensual dance. It is a part of traditional culture and it is common on the streets during the festivals in June or July.
Trobriand Islands are not popular holiday destination and there is a limited number of places to stay and to eat or drink. Places to stay are primarily lodges, and there are few village stays. People of this archipelago live usually in traditional settlements, so village stays are not like those in Europe or USA and Canada. Restaurants and bars could be found only in lodges.
In Trobriand Islands it is not allowed to eat in front of others, they eat alone. This cultural fact does not mean that in a restaurant you can’t eat in a group, but try to avoid meals at the beaches.
